What We Do
The County Trustee is responsible mainly for collecting the county property taxes (all property, real and personal, tangible and intangible) for the purpose of taxation unless property is declared to be exempt by some provision of Tennessee law. The County Trustee is also responsible for other key responsibilities, such as:
- Keeping an accurate account of all monies received in the County
- Investigating County fund discrepancies
The County Trustee is responsible for disbursing County tax revenues to local municipalities.
